與世界對話—德國

     On April 29th, Benjamin, who’s from Germany, came to Taichung to give a speech with the junior high students in Taichung. Benjamin, who’s multilingual, shared his experiences living in different countries and his ideas of global citizens. The influence he gave the students was very positive.


國際教育在臺中—非洲肯亞舊鞋救命活動 From Taichung to Kenya! A pair of shoes is a gift saving his life.


目標:1.立足台灣,將愛心化為實踐的力量,連結地球另一端孩子的生命。
            2.找到能看見肯亞同胞需要、感同身受、樂意付出的愛心伙伴。
            3.實踐計畫並存留所有積極付出愛心的美好印記。

    愛心,是台灣所擁有無形的資產和最為人稱道的國家特色─而愛心特質的核心就是感同身受之後的行動─舊鞋救命計畫是一個真正激盪許多國高中參與的愛心接力賽(參與學校目前有新興國中、華僑中學、蘭陽女中、南榮國中、至善國中、蘇澳海事、員林家商……)。臺中市「至善國中鞋進肯亞計畫」是這個感同身受的愛心接力賽的一員20153/20-3/25募得近20萬雙鞋子!4/25更召集逢甲大學和至善國中學生,以及許多來自中部的志工,完成所有打包裝箱和上貨櫃動作,讓滿滿的愛心準備運送到非洲肯亞。
    學校老師也藉由活動的進行引導學生意識到身為地球的一員,如何以一己之力讓世界更美好。參考課程設計如下:

紐西蘭奧克蘭博物館員臺中參訪團 (Auckland Museum)


     In 2015, Branda and Johnny from Auckland Museum in New Zealand came to Taichung Chih Shan junior high school. Their visit brought students a great international experience and promote students’ visit to Auckland, New Zealand in the near future.

紐西蘭毛利人教育參訪團--紐西蘭塔瑪奇哈瑞基舞團

In October 2014, Tamaki Hauraki Kowhao Rau from New Zealand visited Taichung junior high school. During the one-day visit, the Maoris taught students traditional Maori dance and the students show the Maoris Chinese martial arts. During the activity, students not only had the chance to speak English but learned how to introduce the beauty of Taichung to foreigners.

TRUE OR FALSE?



In this teaching activity, students get a chance to practice using comparative and superlative structures with their classmates by playing an interesting board game. This game helps to improve students’ listening comprehension and to motivate lower level students to speak.

103學年度臺中市國中國際沙龍活動(二)

   On April 27th, Chih Shan Junior High invited college students from foreign countries to the school to share their cultures and traveling experiences with the students. Stephanie from Ireland talked about the literature, music, sports, typically Irish things (like Claddagh ring and Celtic Crosses), food, drinks and some festivals (like St. Patrick’s Day) in Ireland. Pureum and Ms. Shin from Korea introduced Korean culture in Mandarin, which impressed students a lot. After the speech, the students hope that one day they have the chance to visit Ireland and Korea in person.

Microteaching with TBL and Cooperative Learning


This is the second time that I got invited and share Cooperative Learning here. Actually, it didn't go very well last time. The participants were comprised of a variety of subject teachers, which made it difficult for most of them to understand what I was talking about because the presentation was made in English. On top of that, I lectured throughout the entire workshop.

103學年度臺中市國中國際沙龍活動(一)



    本學年度臺中市至善國中和逢甲大學國際志工社合作,邀請逢甲大學外籍生到國中和學生分享該國文化和該生生活經驗,讓學生有機會和外國人面對面接觸,拓展國際視野

    本次活動邀請來自德國的Fabian和美國的Vivian和學生進行一堂課的交流,學生們可以藉此機會和外籍生利用英文進行溝通,並和外籍生就文化議題上,進行討論,學生收穫良多,不僅有機會真實運用英文,更增廣見聞,加強學生學習外語動機
