[3-1-2] 105/09/06 繪本融入國中英語教學研習


Picture books not only offer students to learn English in authentic context but develop students’ sense of beauty through dedicated photos. Besides, extensive reading may motivate students’ learning interest. But how can we use picture books as teaching material in our class? Ms. Lee designed different activities according to students’ English level.


First, story time! If your students are not English lovers yet, you may try to read a lovely story for fun to develop their interest. Second, some stories are good for drama.Students can perform a story after reading and thus they can practice speaking. Third, if your students are advanced English learners, then they can produce more writing about the book you just introduced in class. Through being immersed in different learning material, students can pick up English easily and will realize how to use what they have learned in textbooks rather than just memorize vocabulary words.
