 In today’s workshop, Teacher Richard(Mr. Li Guo-jhen) shared how he started international education in Kuang Ming Junior High School. Three years ago, he went to a workshop in Korea and hence got the idea of language exchange program with English teachers from other countries, which opened the story that he co-worked with his Japanese partner, leading his students to sit in front of the laptops, speaking English to foreigners in Japan.

This is also the key that his school won the International School Award held by British Council. In addition to the Skype program, Richard also invited AIESIC volunteers into his class so that his students would have more opportunities to communicate in English. By creating an authentic environment in using English, students not only learn English in English but learn to appreciate different cultures.

Besides, other teachers from different schools also shared fun, useful and practical English teaching experiences such as outside reading instruction in winter camp for 7^th graders, guided poem writing about change, grammar teaching board games, cross-school spelling bee games, and phonics instructions.
