科技融入英語活化教學演示(20131217 by Leo Peng)
Well come to
Teacher Leo's i-pad English class. Today's topic is What's the Weather Like in
Australia?
Have you ever heard the sound of snow? While hearing birds' singing, what kind of weather comes to your mind? In today's class, Teacher Leo led us to live weather conditions by using different interesting videos on YouTube. No matter they were songs or interviews in the street about one's feeling toward diffferent weather conditions, attendants in this class were able to involve themselves in today's topic and simultaneously practiced new relative vocabulary and sentence patterns.
(Listen to the song and discuss.)
(During the activity, Teacher Leo walked around the classroom, and used i-pad to present what students were doing at the same time.)
(Students were able to show their answers immediately in public by using i- pad.)
Moving back
to the weather in Taiwan, based on the application of the information gap,
students were asked to practice what they learned from the previous activities,
such as words and sentence patterns, to complete the weather map of Taiwan.
However, there was one city, Nantou, which nobody knew what its weather was
like today. To solve the problem, a student raised his hand and asked the
observers from Nantou," What's the weather like in Nantou?" Well, that was the best proof of effective
learning!
(Ask and answer.)
(Ask and answer.)
(Teacher Leo walked around the class and observed how students did their work.)
(Information gap.)
(Happy time to update how many scores they got today.)
