Board Games for English Teaching!
Miranda Su(蘇渝雅 輔導員) brought some handy
and simple board games from her class, which were respectively used to make
students practice verb forms, the sentence pattern -Which do you want, A or B?,
and a game similar with Monopoly that would fit any topic. Through games,
students are easily inspired to speak English either for fun or for the awards.
For teachers that do not have plenty time to make materials for more advanced
board games or have not tried board games in class yet, these three handy and
simple games are pretty practical in your class!
Another four teachers respectively shared extensive learning
activities, cooperative learning, international education, and teaching experiences.
From their sharing, teachers can know more deeply about
project-based learning program, how to incorporate peer-evaluation into class,
and the way how a public school run a student-exchange program with Singapore
school, etc. More than that, feeling other teachers’ passion about English
teaching, everyone there was inspired.
