Seventy teachers or so in TA CHIA Township and its vicinity got together today to share some of the finest teaching strategies and practices together, along with a few important policies regarding to workshops which all teachers are required to attend for the upcoming Twelve-Year Compulsory Education. On behalf of the Advisory Group and all the participants today, I would really like to appreciate all the staff in for providing such wonderful venue.
All the presenters were all well prepared, boasting fantastic ideas in terms of enhancing students' reading comprehension, speaking competence and so on. So, first of all, 胡菁惠、顏秀家 introduced how they devised many interesting activities so that students had to read, summarize and present orally about what they learned from those outside reading materials. Following that, 曾瑩菊 demonstrated how she used a well-designed worksheet to arouse students' interest of learning by getting students to identify some emblems of brand name cars. Then, 江淑菁shared some activities conducted with technologies such as the white board, e-books and so on to engage students in oral assessments like role play and Readers' Theater. Next, 白穗儀showed several digital teaching resources developed by teachers from 中港高中，like worksheets, teaching designs and activities. Last but not least, 蔡麗燕provided a unique activity that got students to write their own biography by giving them templates and authentic adjectives to describe personalities, complete with many other games and tasks.
